Non-Alignment
Non-Alignment is a foreign policy approach where a country chooses not to formally align itself with any major power bloc, particularly during the Cold War. This strategy allows nations to maintain independence and make decisions based on their own interests rather than being influenced by the United States or the Soviet Union.
The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) was established in 1961, bringing together countries that sought to avoid entanglement in the conflicts between these superpowers. Member nations prioritize cooperation, peace, and mutual respect, promoting a multipolar world where no single power dominates international relations.
