Nierenversagen
Nierenversagen, or kidney failure, occurs when the kidneys can no longer filter waste products and excess fluids from the blood effectively. This condition can be acute, developing suddenly due to injury or illness, or chronic, progressing over time due to conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure.
Symptoms of Nierenversagen may include fatigue, swelling, and changes in urination. Treatment options vary and can include medications, dietary changes, or procedures like dialysis, which artificially removes waste from the blood. In severe cases, a kidney transplant may be necessary to restore kidney function.
