Nie Haisheng
Nie Haisheng is a Chinese astronaut and a veteran of the Shenzhou space program. Born on October 13, 1964, he became a pilot in the People's Liberation Army Air Force before joining the space program. Nie has participated in multiple space missions, including Shenzhou 6 in 2005 and Shenzhou 10 in 2013, contributing to China's growing capabilities in space exploration.
In 2021, Nie Haisheng commanded the Shenzhou 12 mission, which marked a significant step in the construction of the Tiangong space station. His extensive experience and leadership have made him a prominent figure in China's efforts to advance its space exploration initiatives.
