Nguyễn Phúc Vĩnh Thụy was born on October 22, 1914, in Vietnam. He was the son of Emperor Bảo Đại, the last emperor of the Nguyễn Dynasty. Vĩnh Thụy held the title of Prince and was known for his involvement in various cultural and social activities during his lifetime. After the fall of the Nguyễn Dynasty and the end of the monarchy in Vietnam, Vĩnh Thụy lived in exile. He spent many years in France and later returned to Vietnam after the reunification in 1975. He passed away on January 28, 2007, in Ho Chi Minh City.
