Netball Positions
Netball positions are divided into seven roles, each with specific responsibilities on the court. The main positions include Goal Shooter, Goal Attack, Wing Attack, Centre, Wing Defence, Goal Defence, and Goal Keeper. Each player must stay within their designated areas, with some positions allowed to enter the shooting circle while others focus on defense or mid-court play.
Players must also adhere to the rules regarding contact and obstruction, ensuring fair play. The Centre is crucial for linking both attack and defense, while the Goal Keeper and Goal Shooter focus on scoring and preventing goals. Understanding these roles is essential for effective teamwork.
