Wing Defence
Wing Defence is a position in the sport of netball that focuses on defending the opposing team's wing players. The primary role of a wing defender is to prevent the attacking player from receiving the ball and to disrupt their movements. This position requires agility, quick decision-making, and strong communication with teammates.
In addition to marking their opponent, wing defenders also support their own team's attack by creating space and providing options for passes. They often work closely with the goal defence and centre to maintain a strong defensive structure while transitioning quickly to offense when the opportunity arises.
