Nelson Monument
The Nelson Monument is a prominent tower located on Calton Hill in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was built to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson, who died at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The monument stands 30 meters tall and features a statue of Nelson at its summit, offering panoramic views of the city.
Constructed between 1807 and 1816, the Nelson Monument is designed in a neoclassical style, resembling a lighthouse. Visitors can climb the 143 steps to reach the top, where they can enjoy stunning vistas of Edinburgh and its surrounding landscapes.
