Neelum-Jhelum Project
The Neelum-Jhelum Project is a hydroelectric power project located in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir region of Pakistan. It aims to generate approximately 969 megawatts of electricity by utilizing the water flow from the Neelum River. The project includes a series of tunnels and a reservoir, designed to harness the river's potential for energy production.
Construction of the Neelum-Jhelum Project began in 2007 and was completed in 2018. It plays a crucial role in addressing Pakistan's energy needs and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. The project is expected to contribute significantly to the national grid, providing clean and renewable energy.
