Nazanin Afshin-Jam
Nazanin Afshin-Jam is an Iranian-Canadian human rights activist, singer, and former beauty queen. Born on April 24, 1979, in Tehran, Iran, she moved to Canada with her family after the Iranian Revolution. Afshin-Jam is known for her advocacy work, particularly focusing on issues related to women's rights and political prisoners in Iran.
In addition to her activism, Afshin-Jam has pursued a career in music, releasing several albums that blend pop and traditional Persian music. She co-founded the organization Stop Child Executions, which aims to raise awareness about the execution of minors in Iran and promote human rights globally.
