National Symbols of the Philippines
The National Flag of the Philippines features a blue field on top, representing peace and justice, a red field at the bottom for patriotism and valor, and a white triangle symbolizing equality. Inside the triangle are three stars, representing the three main geographical regions: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The sun has eight rays, each representing the first eight provinces that revolted against Spanish rule.
The National Anthem, titled "Lupang Hinirang," expresses love for the country and its beauty. Other important symbols include the Philippine Eagle, the national bird, symbolizing strength and freedom, and the Narra tree, the national tree, representing resilience and endurance.
