National Institute of Anthropology and History
The National Institute of Anthropology and History (Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, INAH) is a Mexican government agency dedicated to the research, preservation, and promotion of the country's cultural heritage. Established in 1939, it focuses on archaeology, anthropology, and history, ensuring that Mexico's rich past is documented and protected.
INAH oversees numerous archaeological sites, museums, and cultural programs across Mexico. It plays a crucial role in the conservation of important historical landmarks, such as the ancient city of Teotihuacan and the Maya ruins, while also conducting research to enhance public understanding of Mexico's diverse cultural history.
