National Flag of India
The National Flag of India consists of three horizontal stripes: saffron at the top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom. The saffron represents courage and sacrifice, the white symbolizes peace and truth, and the green stands for faith and chivalry. In the center of the white stripe is the Ashoka Chakra, a 24-spoke navy blue wheel that represents the eternal wheel of law and dharma.
Adopted on July 22, 1947, the flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya. It is a symbol of India's independence and unity, reflecting the diverse culture and heritage of the nation. The flag is hoisted on national holidays and important events, showcasing pride and patriotism among citizens.
