National Examinations Council
The National Examinations Council (NECO) is an examination body in Nigeria responsible for conducting examinations for secondary school students. Established in 1999, NECO administers the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE), which is crucial for students seeking to further their education or gain employment.
NECO aims to provide a reliable assessment of students' academic performance and ensure that educational standards are maintained across the country. The council also offers other examinations, such as the National Common Entrance Examination, which is used for admission into secondary schools.
