National Assembly of the Philippines
The National Assembly of the Philippines was the legislative body of the country from 1935 to 1941 and again from 1945 to 1946. It was established under the 1935 Constitution and was responsible for creating laws and overseeing the government. The assembly consisted of representatives elected by the people, reflecting the democratic principles of the time.
In 1946, the National Assembly was replaced by the Congress of the Philippines, which continues to serve as the legislative branch today. The transition marked a significant change in the political landscape, as the country moved towards greater independence following World War II.
