House of Representatives of the Philippines
The House of Representatives of the Philippines is one of the two chambers of the Congress of the Philippines, the other being the Senate. It is responsible for making laws, representing the people, and overseeing the executive branch. Members of the House, known as Representatives, are elected to serve three-year terms and can represent either a district or a sector.
The House is composed of 316 members, including those elected from legislative districts and party-list representatives. It plays a crucial role in the legislative process, proposing and debating bills that can become laws. The House also has the power to initiate impeachment proceedings against certain officials.
