National Agricultural Research Organization
The National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) is a government agency in Uganda responsible for coordinating agricultural research and development. Its primary goal is to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability through research, innovation, and technology transfer. NARO works closely with farmers, universities, and other stakeholders to address challenges in the agricultural sector.
NARO conducts research in various areas, including crop and livestock production, soil management, and pest control. By developing new farming techniques and improving existing practices, NARO aims to enhance food security and promote economic growth in Uganda. The organization also focuses on training and capacity building for farmers and agricultural professionals.
