Nash Motors was an American automobile manufacturer founded in 1916 by Charles W. Nash. The company was known for producing innovative vehicles and was one of the early pioneers in the automotive industry. Nash Motors gained popularity for its stylish designs and advanced engineering, particularly in the post-World War II era. In 1954, Nash Motors merged with Hudson Motor Car Company to form the American Motors Corporation (AMC). This merger aimed to compete more effectively against larger automakers. Nash vehicles continued to be produced under the AMC brand until the company was eventually acquired by Chrysler Corporation in 1987.
