Nancy Harkness Love
Nancy Harkness Love was an American aviator and a pioneering figure in women's aviation during the early 20th century. Born on March 4, 1914, she became known for her contributions to the Civil Air Patrol during World War II, where she played a crucial role in training pilots and promoting aviation safety.
In addition to her work with the Civil Air Patrol, Love was instrumental in the formation of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) program. This initiative allowed women to serve as pilots in non-combat roles, significantly advancing the role of women in the military and aviation fields.
