Nanak
Nanak, also known as Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was the founder of Sikhism and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus. He was born in 1469 in what is now Pakistan. Nanak emphasized the importance of devotion to one God, equality among all people, and living a truthful life. His teachings laid the foundation for the Sikh faith, which promotes community service and social justice.
Throughout his life, Nanak traveled extensively, spreading his message through hymns and poetry. His teachings are compiled in the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism. Nanak's legacy continues to inspire millions around the world, promoting peace and harmony.
