Sikh Gurus
The Sikh Gurus are the spiritual leaders of Sikhism, a religion that originated in the Punjab region of India in the 15th century. There are ten Gurus, starting with Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who founded the faith, and ending with Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who established the Khalsa, a collective body of initiated Sikhs. Each Guru contributed to the teachings and scriptures of Sikhism, emphasizing values like equality, service, and devotion to one God.
The teachings of the Gurus are compiled in the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, which is considered the eternal Guru after the ten human Gurus. The Gurus promoted a message of love, compassion, and social justice, encouraging followers to live a life of honesty and humility. Their legacy continues to inspire millions of Sikhs around the world today.
