Nan Shepherd
Nan Shepherd was a Scottish author and poet, best known for her book, *The Living Mountain*, which explores her deep connection to the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland. Born in 1893 in the city of Aberdeen, she was a prominent figure in 20th-century Scottish literature and a member of the Scottish Renaissance movement.
