Nama people
The Nama people are an indigenous group primarily found in Namibia, particularly in the southern regions. They are part of the larger Khoisan ethnic group, known for their unique click languages. Traditionally, the Nama people were pastoralists, herding cattle and sheep, and they have a rich cultural heritage that includes music, dance, and storytelling.
Historically, the Nama faced significant challenges, including conflicts with colonial powers and land dispossession. Today, they strive to preserve their cultural identity while adapting to modern society. Many Nama people continue to engage in traditional practices, while also participating in contemporary economic activities.
