Nader Shah
Nader Shah was an influential Persian ruler who reigned from 1736 to 1747. He is best known for his military conquests, which expanded the Persian Empire significantly. Nader Shah's most famous campaign was against India, where he captured the city of Delhi in 1739 and looted its treasures, including the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond.
Despite his initial successes, Nader Shah's rule became increasingly tyrannical, leading to widespread discontent among his subjects. His assassination in 1747 marked the decline of his empire, and Persia soon faced internal strife and fragmentation, paving the way for the rise of new powers in the region.
