Naaman was a military commander in the army of Aram, known for his bravery and success in battles. Despite his achievements, he suffered from leprosy, a chronic skin disease that affected his health and social standing.
His life changed when a young Israelite girl, captured during a raid, suggested he seek help from the prophet Elisha in Israel. Following her advice, Naaman visited Elisha, who instructed him to wash in the Jordan River to be healed. After initially hesitating, Naaman followed the instructions and was miraculously cured of his leprosy.
