NSCN (K)
The NSCN (K), or National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang), is a separatist group based in the northeastern region of India. Formed in 1988, it aims to establish a sovereign state for the Naga people, advocating for their rights and identity. The group primarily operates in the states of Nagaland, Manipur, and Arunachal Pradesh.
The NSCN (K) split from the original NSCN faction due to differences in ideology and strategy. It has been involved in various conflicts with the Indian government and other groups, seeking to negotiate greater autonomy and recognition for the Naga people.
