NSCN
The NSCN, or National Socialist Council of Nagaland, is a political and militant organization based in the northeastern region of India. It was formed in 1980 with the aim of establishing a sovereign state for the Naga people, who inhabit parts of India and Myanmar. The group has been involved in various peace talks with the Indian government to address the demands for greater autonomy and self-determination.
The NSCN has several factions, with the most prominent being NSCN (IM) and NSCN (K). These factions have differing views on how to achieve their goals, leading to internal conflicts. The organization has been a significant player in the ongoing struggle for Naga identity and rights, impacting the political landscape of the region.
