NGC_2020
NGC 2020 is a bright emission nebula located in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. It is situated near the Tarantula Nebula and is known for its striking colors, primarily red and blue, which are produced by ionized hydrogen and oxygen gas.
The nebula is approximately 163,000 light-years away from Earth and spans about 1,000 light-years across. NGC 2020 is often studied by astronomers to understand stellar formation and the dynamics of interstellar gas and dust in galaxies outside our own.
