NGC 2020
NGC 2020 is a bright emission nebula located in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. It is situated approximately 163,000 light-years from Earth and is part of a larger region known as the LMC.
The nebula is notable for its striking colors, which are produced by ionized gases, primarily hydrogen and oxygen. NGC 2020 is often studied by astronomers to understand stellar formation and the processes that occur in such nebulae, contributing to our knowledge of the universe's evolution.
