NGC_1912
NGC_1912 is an open star cluster located in the constellation Taurus. It is also known as Messier 38 and is approximately 4,200 light-years away from Earth. The cluster contains around 100 stars and is estimated to be about 220 million years old.
Discovered by Giovanni Batista Hodierna in the 17th century, NGC_1912 is best observed with binoculars or small telescopes. The cluster is notable for its bright stars, which are spread out over a relatively large area, making it a popular target for amateur astronomers.
