NGC_1903
NGC 1903 is an open star cluster located in the constellation Camelopardalis. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1788. The cluster is approximately 12,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several hundred stars, many of which are young and hot.
The stars in NGC 1903 are loosely bound by gravity, allowing them to spread out over a larger area compared to more compact clusters. This cluster is notable for its relatively high metallicity, indicating that its stars have a higher abundance of elements heavier than hydrogen and helium, which can provide insights into stellar evolution.
