NGC 6341
NGC 6341, also known as M92, is a globular cluster located in the constellation Hercules. It is approximately 26,000 light-years away from Earth and is one of the oldest known globular clusters, with an estimated age of around 13 billion years. NGC 6341 contains hundreds of thousands of stars, tightly packed together, and is notable for its bright core.
Discovered by Johann Elert Bode in 1777, NGC 6341 is often studied for its stellar population and dynamics. It is a popular target for amateur astronomers and can be observed with small telescopes. The cluster's distinct appearance and rich history make it an interesting object in the night sky.
