NGC 4780
NGC 4780 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 60 million light-years away in the constellation Centaurus. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834 and is part of the Centaurus Cluster, which contains many other galaxies.
This galaxy has a prominent bar structure and exhibits a mix of young and old stars, indicating ongoing star formation. NGC 4780 is also notable for its bright core and surrounding dust lanes, which contribute to its distinct appearance in the night sky.
