NGC 2010
NGC 2010 is a bright emission nebula located in the constellation of Lepus. It is part of a larger star-forming region and is situated approximately 1,500 light-years away from Earth. The nebula is known for its vivid colors, primarily due to the ionization of gas by nearby young, hot stars.
The nebula is often studied by astronomers to understand the processes of star formation and the dynamics of interstellar gas. NGC 2010 is also associated with the LMC (Large Magellanic Cloud), which is a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. Its striking appearance makes it a popular target for astrophotography.
