NGC 1831
NGC 1831 is an open star cluster located in the constellation of Tucana. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834. This cluster is part of the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, and is approximately 200,000 light-years away from Earth.
The cluster contains several bright stars and is estimated to be around 100 million years old. NGC 1831 is notable for its relatively high concentration of stars, making it an interesting target for astronomers studying stellar formation and evolution in different environments.
