NGC 1027
NGC 1027 is an open star cluster located in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1787 and is approximately 3,000 light-years away from Earth. The cluster contains several bright stars and is estimated to be around 100 million years old.
The stars in NGC 1027 are loosely bound by gravity, making it a relatively young cluster. It spans about 20 light-years across and is best observed with binoculars or small telescopes. This cluster is part of a larger group of stars that contribute to the rich star fields of the Cassiopeia constellation.
