NCP
NCP, or Network Control Protocol, is a protocol used in computer networking to manage and control network connections. It was primarily designed for use in the Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP), which facilitates direct connections between two network nodes. NCP allows for the configuration and management of various network layer protocols, enabling devices to communicate effectively over a network.
NCP operates by establishing a session between two devices, negotiating the parameters for the connection. This includes assigning IP addresses and determining the type of network protocols to be used. By managing these settings, NCP ensures that data can be transmitted reliably and efficiently across the network.
