NASA's Perseverance Rover
NASA's Perseverance Rover is a robotic vehicle designed to explore the surface of Mars. Launched on July 30, 2020, it landed in the Jezero Crater on February 18, 2021. The rover's primary mission is to search for signs of ancient microbial life and collect rock and soil samples for future return to Earth. Equipped with advanced scientific instruments, it can analyze the Martian environment and geology.
In addition to its search for life, Perseverance carries the Ingenuity Helicopter, which has successfully demonstrated powered flight on another planet. This mission aims to test new technologies for future exploration, paving the way for human missions to Mars.
