Myomas
Myomas, also known as uterine fibroids, are non-cancerous tumors that develop in the uterus. They are made up of muscle and fibrous tissue and can vary in size, from tiny seedlings to large masses. Myomas can occur in different locations within the uterus, including the inner lining, the outer surface, or within the muscle itself.
These growths are quite common, especially in women of reproductive age. While many women with myomas experience no symptoms, some may have heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, or pressure symptoms. Treatment options depend on the severity of symptoms and may include medication or surgical procedures.
