My Son Sanctuary
My Son Sanctuary is an ancient Hindu temple complex located in Vietnam, near the town of Quang Nam. It was built between the 4th and 14th centuries by the Champa civilization, dedicated primarily to the worship of the god Shiva. The site features a series of red brick temples and towers, showcasing intricate carvings and architectural styles that reflect the cultural influences of the time.
Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, My Son Sanctuary is an important archaeological site that provides insight into the history and religious practices of the Champa people. Despite suffering damage from war and natural elements, ongoing restoration efforts aim to preserve its historical significance and attract visitors interested in Vietnamese heritage.
