Muzzle-loading
Muzzle-loading refers to a type of firearm that is loaded from the front, or muzzle, of the barrel. This method involves placing gunpowder and a projectile, such as a bullet or ball, into the barrel before firing. Muzzle-loaders were commonly used from the 16th to the 19th centuries and are still popular today for hunting and sport shooting.
These firearms can be either rifled or smoothbore, affecting their accuracy and range. Muzzle-loading weapons include muskets, rifles, and pistols. The process of loading and firing a muzzle-loader requires more time and skill compared to modern breech-loading firearms.
