Murrah Federal Building
The Murrah Federal Building was a government office building located in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It housed various federal agencies, including the Social Security Administration and the U.S. Secret Service. The building was completed in 1977 and was a prominent structure in the area.
On April 19, 1995, the Murrah Federal Building was the target of a devastating terrorist attack. A truck bomb exploded outside the building, resulting in the deaths of 168 people and injuring over 600 others. This tragic event led to significant changes in U.S. security policies and heightened awareness of domestic terrorism.
