Murlidhar Devidas Amte
Murlidhar Devidas Amte, commonly known as Baba Amte, was an influential Indian social activist born on December 26, 1914. He is best known for his work in the field of leprosy treatment and rehabilitation. Baba Amte dedicated his life to serving individuals affected by leprosy, establishing the Anandwan community in Maharashtra, which provided medical care, vocational training, and a supportive environment for those marginalized by society.
