The Mumbai Attacks occurred from November 26 to November 29, 2008, when a group of ten terrorists from the militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across various locations in Mumbai, India. Key sites targeted included the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Leopold Cafe, and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. The attacks resulted in the deaths of 166 people and injured over 300 others.
The attacks were widely condemned and led to increased security measures in India and around the world. In response, the Indian government took steps to enhance counter-terrorism efforts and improve intelligence sharing. The incident also strained relations between India and Pakistan, where the attackers were believed to have been trained.
