Mukurthi National Park
Mukurthi National Park is located in the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu, India. Established in 1982, it covers an area of approximately 78 square kilometers and is part of the larger Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The park is known for its unique biodiversity, including several endemic species of flora and fauna.
The park is home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, a mountain goat that thrives in the region's grasslands. Mukurthi National Park also features various ecosystems, such as shola forests and montane grasslands, making it an important area for conservation and ecological research.
