Mukden
Mukden, now known as Shenyang, is a city in northeastern China and serves as the capital of Liaoning province. Historically significant, it was the center of the Manchu state and played a crucial role during the Qing Dynasty. The city is known for its rich cultural heritage, including the Mukden Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Mukden was also the site of the Mukden Incident in 1931, which led to the Japanese invasion of Manchuria. Today, it is an important industrial and transportation hub, with a diverse economy that includes manufacturing and technology sectors.
