Muinane People
The Muinane people are an indigenous group residing in the Amazon rainforest, primarily in Colombia. They are part of the larger Ticuna ethnic group and speak the Muinane language, which is part of the Panoan language family. Traditionally, they engage in hunting, fishing, and agriculture, relying on the rich biodiversity of their environment for sustenance.
Muinane culture is deeply connected to their natural surroundings, with spiritual beliefs that emphasize the importance of nature. They practice traditional rituals and maintain a strong sense of community, often passing down knowledge and customs through generations. Their way of life is increasingly threatened by external pressures such as deforestation and encroachment on their lands.
