Mountain Ranges in Mexico
Mexico is home to several major mountain ranges, the most prominent being the Sierra Madre Occidental and Sierra Madre Oriental. The Sierra Madre Occidental runs along the western side of the country, while the Sierra Madre Oriental is located to the east. These ranges are known for their diverse ecosystems, which include forests, deserts, and unique wildlife.
Another significant range is the Sierra Nevada, which includes the famous Pico de Orizaba, the highest peak in Mexico. These mountain ranges not only contribute to the country's stunning landscapes but also play a crucial role in its climate and water resources.
