Mount Tasman
Mount Tasman, also known as Mount Cook's second-highest peak, is located in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. Standing at 3,497 meters (11,472 feet), it is renowned for its stunning glacial landscapes and challenging climbing routes. The mountain is part of the Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The first ascent of Mount Tasman was achieved in 1908 by a team of climbers led by George Edward Mannering. The mountain is often less crowded than its neighbor, Mount Cook, making it a popular choice for experienced climbers seeking adventure in a breathtaking environment.
