Mount Iglit - Baco National Park
Mount Iglit - Baco National Park is located in the Philippines, primarily in the province of Occidental Mindoro. Established in 1994, the park covers an area of approximately 75,000 hectares and is known for its diverse ecosystems, including montane forests and grasslands. It is home to various endemic species, making it an important site for biodiversity conservation.
The park features Mount Iglit, the highest peak in the region, which rises to about 1,200 meters above sea level. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking and wildlife watching, while the park also plays a crucial role in protecting the habitat of the endangered Mindoro dwarf buffalo, also known as the Tamaraw.
