Mount Godwin-Austen
Mount Godwin-Austen, also known as K2, is the second-highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,611 meters (28,251 feet) above sea level. It is located in the Karakoram range, which spans the borders of Pakistan and China. The mountain is renowned for its challenging climbing conditions and steep ascents, making it one of the most difficult peaks to summit.
First climbed in 1954, K2 has a reputation for its harsh weather and technical climbing routes. The mountain is surrounded by stunning glaciers and is part of the K2 National Park, which is home to diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.
